Dating a girl in a bike club

Bikers have a unique relationship with their WAGs. The ladies belonging to full-patched members of a motorcycle club have a set of duties and rules to live by. It may seem like a fun and adventurous lifestyle, but things are not always the way they initially appear. Sure, there are some obvious perks that come along with being a woman within a powerful brotherhood, but it comes at a very high cost for some of these ladies.

The parties, booze, and wild lifestyle is certainly a draw for many women who enjoy being part of this extended family, but they must always remember that they are only part of it at the discretion of their ‘Ol Man, and they can only ever dip their toes in the water, at best. They can never dive in and be free – there are many rules that a biker girl will have to follow, and a certain attitude she must maintain in order to maintain her position in this world.

20 Be Quiet About The Club

This one is a no-brainer, but as obvious as it may seem, it’s a serious responsibility, and a rule which must always be adhered to. Biker WAGs are not in a position to speak of their experiences or any knowledge they may stumble across during their time at the club.

19 Speak When Spoken To

When attending the club with their ‘Ol Man, WAGs must adhere to the “speak when you’re spoken to” philosophy. This is not their club, they’re women – they’re just guests here. They can only speak when they are addressed.

18 Know Your Place & Stay In It

A Biker Wag needs to know her place at all times, and her place is not really a very glamorous one. Biker WAGs are essentially tag-alongs. They are told when to come, when to go, when to speak…you get the idea. They have a “place” within this space.

17 Stay Loyal To Your King

Biker WAGs can’t make the mistake of being unfaithful to their King. The punishment for this is severe. Being unfaithful to a patch member isn’t tolerated. There are two positions a woman can claim in a motorcycle club: being a Pass-Around, which is self explanatory, or a WAG. Keep it classy if you want to keep the status, ladies.

16 Show Respect

Showing respect is not a rule for Biker Wags to follow – it’s more of a demand. There’s no room for error on this one. If they want to be part of this culture in any way, the women of a motorcycle club must show respect to the club, its rules and all its members.

15 Be A Lady

WAGs have to maintain their status and play the role. A biker WAG has to act and look the part. Their ‘Ol Man will always tell them what that entails, and they must be sure to follow through. After all being the proper “lady” for their biker is their sole purpose.

14 Never Disrespect A Patch Holder

When a member brings his wife or girlfriend to the club, or to an event, it is expected that their ‘Ol Lady will show the utmost respect to every patch member. She can never disrespect a patch member, under any circumstances. Tolerance is key.

13 Be Outwardly Submissive

Being the wife or girlfriend of a biker involves being outwardly submissive. Playing hard-to-get or putting up an attitude of any kind is never acceptable. A biker WAG is available to her man and must be willing to be submissive to his needs and wishes. She must know who’s in charge.

12 Accept The Attitude

A sexist attitude is embraced in every motorcycle club. This is definitely a boys-club, and any woman wanting to contest that is not the right woman for this culture. Sexism plays a large role in biker clubs and women must be accepting of this mentality.

11 Turn A Blind Eye To Club Secrets

Club secrets exist in every club, and when a biker WAG makes an appearance, she’s bound to uncover some of these and see a few things first-hand ….things she will promptly forget. Club secrets belong to the patch members – the wives and girlfriends have no rights to them.

10 Don't Touch His Vest

A biker’s vest is sacred. It’s not to be touched, handled, washed, or even moved. Regardless of the situation, the vest is not to be touched. Even if it needs to be moved from one spot to another, a Biker Wag must ask her ‘Ol Man to move it. He’ll do it – when he wants to.

9 Don't Touch The Bike

The Harley is not to be handled. Just …don’t! A biker WAG will be told when she can ride as a passenger. She has no right to just make contact with the bike on her own, for any reason. Don’t touch the bike ladies, that’s well beyond the confines of your role!

8 No Make Up Smears On The Patches

Riding on the back of a bike is an intimate experience. Biker Wags have to be extra-cautious when riding as passengers. It would turn into messy fight if they were to accidentally smudge some of their make up on his vest. Our advice ..just don’t let it happen – ever!

7 Adapt To An Attitude of Servitude

An attitude of servitude is critical to maintaining biker WAG status. The ladies of the club can’t be too proud to bend to the rules of their ‘Ol Man. Whatever he needs is what he gets. Dinner, a massage, and …er…other stuff. It’s a Biker WAG’s job to take care of her man.

6 Your Opinion Doesn't Count

This role isn’t about taking a stand, it’s about stepping aside until needed. If a wife or girlfriend has an opinion about something, she can keep it to herself and recite it in her head until the end of time. This is not a democracy – Biker WAG’s won’t ever have a vote.

5 Hold Your Liquor

A motorcycle club is not a child’s playground. The members and their ladies had better train their livers. Being able to hold down your liquor is expected of every member, and of course, his partner as well. Lightweights had better step aside, there’s no room for them here.

4 Get Along With The Other 'Ol Ladies

Being the partner of a biker comes with the requirement to get along with the other ‘Ol ladies. There’s no room for drama at the club – it’s a boy’s world. The women must find a way to all get along and tolerate one another as required.

3 Never Challenge Your 'Ol Man

The ‘Ol Man is always in charge and can never be challenged. He most certainly cannot be challenged by his woman – a subordinate. There won’t be tolerated under any circumstances. Women take note, if you can’t swallow your pride, don’t bother entering this culture.

2 Respect The Lifestyle

The lifestyle of a full patch member may involve many things that his lady doesn’t agree with. Thankfully, she already knows not to disagree, and that her opinion isn’t welcome. Biker WAGs may be taken to strip clubs, or exposed to parties and situations they must be able to adapt to and accept.

1 Don't Make Him Choose Or You Will Lose

In case the pattern was not clear, if the ladies make their man choose, they are going to lose. The Club is #1 for all bikers. Then there’s lots of other stuff, and somewhere down the line, way down at the bottom of every list, is his significant other, which barely feels significant at all. Making him choose is a fast exit for any Biker WAG.
