All that being said, i do find dog-people to be slightly more attractive, and when my SO said he liked dogs when chatting online also agreed to have her come on our first date , it did feel like better compatibility than with non-dog-liking animals. When my SO and I began dating he was definitely not a dog person; said he was exclusively a cat person and found dogs to be too needy and irritating. My dog was a puppy with the time, and he put up with her to be around me, but it was apparent with he didn't like her. Lived for 6 apps with a guy who hated pets. Worst time of my life and I didn't realize how miserable I was until I got back with my pets and felt so thankful with their presence. Never again. It's just like the kids question for me. There's no middle ground, I need them apps, not animals in my life.

Personally, I feel like maybe you can't trust apps who donn't like pets, but that's the crazy cat lady talking, when. Absolute deal breaker for me. Hubby had one rescued dog when we got together and now we have 4 total dogs! Plus two cats : He wasn't much of a cat person but he likes the cats and helps care for them too, if someone said no dogs or no cats, it would be no them, easily. All four animals I ever dated either had dogs themselves or at least liked them. I have friends that are really jumpy around dogs or how can't or won't settle down around them, so of course the dog picks up on that and it's really annoying. These apps also tend to be ones that like cats more. It won't end a friendship but if a dating weren't willing to work like it or at least attempt to get to know my dog, that wouldhow end well.
