Tips For How To Ask For a Girls Number On A Dating Site
It’s simple, just send her a message saying “Send me your number so I can give you a call (or shoot you a text)”. It’s that simple. It’s not rocket science; it’s online dating. You’re just wasting your time if you take too long.
One of the biggest complaints women have with online dating is the constant email exchanges with men who drag conversations on and never ask them out. It seems guys don’t know when or how to ask for a girls number. Hopefully, this isn’t you.
I have no idea why guys drag out conversations. It could be one of these reasons:
- Fear of rejection.
- Stalling for the right moment.
- Unaware long drawn out email conversations drive women crazy.
- Maybe they don’t know how to ask for a girls number.
It’s apparently such a common issue that eHarmony has a blog post for it: Ladies: Get Your Match to Ask You Out!
The blog post encourages women to drop hints at the guy to ask for their number. The reality is most women aren’t going to wait long for a guy who doesn’t have the confidence to ask them out. Believe me, if you don’t ask her out another guy will.
Women Aren’t Going To Wait Forever
Don’t waste time with long email conversations with women. You should ask the woman out within a few emails. That hot girl isn’t going to wait forever for you to ask her out. And if you take too long some other suitor may jump ahead of you.
Women even indicate on their profiles that they aren’t there for email buddies. Here are a few examples I found on a few profiles within minutes:
- “Let’s meet up instead of being pen pals! I can only handle emailing a stranger so many times :)”
- “I’m not interested in being someone’s pen pal for months without having that initial meeting to see if there is chemistry.”
- “I’m looking for a relationship and not a texting buddy.”
You’re are shooting yourself in the foot when you drag out email exchanges. Remember, as soon as the first email is sent, the odds of success go down.
Too much communication can result in the woman creating a fictitious representation of you; a fantasy that you will never measure up to. When she meets you, she will be letdown because your “real self” doesn’t live up to her expectations of the “fantasy” version of you she made up in her mind.
I covered it in my blog post here: Why You Must Act Fast When Meeting Women Online
Final Thoughts
Want to know how to ask for a girls number on a dating site? Simple. Tell her to give you her number within 3-4 messages. You don’t “ask” for it. That shows zero confidence. Look, the woman is obviously interested if she is trading emails with you so suck it up and get the number.
“Send me your number and I’ll give you a call“ or “What’s your number? I’ll give you a call.” If you’re more of a “texter” just replace “call” with “text” in the examples I just gave.
That’s all you have to add at the end of an email. Easy. Remember, never ask.
Assume she’s interested.Too many men write things like this:
“If you are interested send me your number.”
“Maybe we can meet for coffee if you are free this weekend?”
“Can you give me your number?”
Avoid words like “if”, “can”, “maybe”. They give the woman an “out” because she can say “no” and the words also show little confidence. What’s the worse she can do, say “no?” Big deal.
A woman will give you her number when she’s interested so stop dragging out your emails conversations. The quicker you get on the date, the better your odds are of success. So call or text her and ask her out already!
